GIA is built on one
simple idea
Periods should feel comfortable.
The journey began in
Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Our founder grew up witnessing the quiet resilience of women navigating their daily lives in the vibrant, bustling streets of Ahmedabad. It was here that she first noticed the unspoken burden many women carried during their cycles.
The heat, the humidity, and the lack of reliable, skin-friendly products, turned a natural process into a monthly struggle. It wasn't just about hygiene; it was about the dignity of feeling at ease in your own body.

The moment everything shifted.
The true spark for GIA came from home. Watching her sister frequently change pads, feeling restricted and uncomfortable, sparked a realization. Why was the standard so low for something so essential?
It wasn't just about frequency; it was about the skin irritation, the constant worry, and the “plastic” feel of mainstream options that ignored the basic biological needs of a woman's body.
“We realized that mainstream pads were designed for mass production, not for the skin.”
The trade-off was hidden in plain sight: performance at the cost of comfort, and scale at the cost of safety.
What we left behind
The invisible ingredients in traditional menstrual care.
Chlorine
Used for whitening but leaves behind toxic residue that isn't kind to your body.
Artificial Fragrances
A hidden chemical that disrupts natural pH balance and causes unnecessary irritation.
Dyes
Synthetic pigments used for aesthetic appeal that can cause skin sensitivities.
Dioxins
By-products of bleaching processes that are linked to long-term health concerns.
There had to be a
better way.
